Delayna delivered an excellent performance this Sunday to help win the Championship game for the girls 13u. The girls did it collectively as a unit. We had punches from all angles. Delayna had a rough 1st half but turned it around the 2nd half. She overcame her mental game and delivered some good dimes, and rebounds. Her natural scoring ability came through the 2nd half. Her defense was on point.  So proud of her performance. 

Aria brought the energy from the beginning of the game. Aria is a competitor and has shown to be loyal to the team. Aria was aggressive attacking the paint from the start. She was moving the ball as asked and played a well rounded game. Though we won as a team, I am so proud of Aria's performance this Sunday to help win the Championship game. She was encouraging her teammates and stuck with it till the end. Fantastic job Aria. 

Sofia had an outstanding game this Sunday. Sofia was determined to win. She tried on every play.  She was defending with all of her will. Though we came up short, Sofia wanted to win bad, and it showed. I am proud of her growth and commitment to the team. Her energy was contagious and some of her teammates picked up on it. Keep up the good work Sofia, I applaud and can count on you every time you are on the court to give me all of your effort.  

Amy showed what it's like to overcome a mental challenge in the game by having an outstanding performance in the 2nd half. Amy dropped an egg in the first half. She was in her head about her ability and skills. She was questioning everything. After a talk with her coach, she came out the 2nd half and showed not only her teammates, coach but most importantly herself that she belongs and who she is as an athlete. Great job Amy, proud of your performance. 

Dallas brings a smile to your face when you watch him play. He is not worried about winning or losing at 6 years old. Dallas is out there running around having the time of his life. He is learning how to defend and looks to the coach to be assured he did a great job on defense. He has fans from other teams already because of the enjoyment Dallas is having on the court and reminds us that sometimes we just need to take a step back and appreciate the moment.
